Induction project

The topic for the short film project was an object, we came up with the idea that a fuggler goes around and eats and licks random stuff. The film then ends with the monster licking Tony.
On our second day we started shooting, we used a variety of shots and sequences such as close ups, wide angles pan sequences. Our director (Ted) instructed Tony on how to act and arranged his positioning on camera. Later that day we reviewed our footage and decided what else we could add or still needed to shoot.

We used a tri pod (legs) to get many stable shots of the main character, then our cameramen (Luke and Ainslie) got many mid shots and shot the same scene in a variety of angles. The settings for inside that were used were: ND filter on 0, and Auto White Balance. We redid the White Balance for outside, and put the ND filter on full, to account for the increased exposure.

On the next day we did reshoots and started the editing process later on in the day, on one of our sequences we used lighting equipment to add dramatic effect to the scene. The finishing touches have been done on the fourth day such as final stages of the editing and adding credits.

Also we added music and sound to add more depth to the piece. We added sub sequences which makes it easier to edit, also we used curves which allow us to separate the channels and adjust each of them.

The idea we had was for the film to be funny and stupid, we all think we manged to pull it off in our final product. They key framing was also well put together and adds the effect we wanted. But we have made some improvements such as timing and we have added a static effect to add more comedic value and to piece the two scenes together.

The transition effects we used were fade in and outs and key frames. Finally we slowed down some of the footage to increase the duration of the short film and it opened up new opportunities to add more music and edits. Then we added the final credits and finished the edit process and our short film is now ready to be presented. Our group's view on our final piece is that it has come out better than expected and we have reached they goal we set at the start of the project.
